Technology is the backbone of improved production. At Agtegra, we have a long history of using technology to improve yields. We were one of the early adopters of precision farming practices. We led the way with management zone-based farming practices now known as MZB Technologies. We are the recipient of Precision Agriculture awards. The leader of our Ag Technologies group has been recognized as one of the top 10 leaders of precision agriculture.

The Unique Agtegra Ag Technology Program

Ag Technology has many names and descriptions. Here at Agtegra, it means understanding your fields, managing the nutrient life-cycle, highlighting problem areas, and setting and achieving goals for yield and return on investment. Here is our approach:

Zone-Based Data Insights
We begin by custom mapping a field using a proprietary data logging system called MZB (for Multi-Zone-Based). We segment your field into five layers and break down your field data into management zones, grids or both. Then we track variables like elevation, soil properties, nutrient holding capacities and more to identify both challenges and opportunities.
Real-Time Satellite Imagery
Once we have collected your zone-based field data, we combine that with satellite imagery (using WinField United’s R7 tool) to provide real-time field insights throughout the growing season. That allows us to pair the right inputs with the right technology to maximize return on investment for every field.
Field-Based Management
Every field is unique, but with our approach to using Ag Technology, we provide the opportunity to achieve your yield goals and maximize your return on investment for every field. MZB is the most economical program when it comes to precision agriculture. This multi-layer approach provides more precise data than a traditional one-layer system. More than that, it allows users to identify yield-limiting factors and make smarter decisions on where to invest inputs to maximize yield and minimize wasted input dollars.
With today's precision farming technologies, it's possible to plant different seed populations, apply different fertilizers and nutrients at varying rates, and even plant different hybrids/varieties within the same field - all based on each field management zone's unique characteristics.

Using the R7® Placement Strategy (the right genetics, soil type, plant population, cropping system, traits, plant nutrition and crop protection) as a foundation, the R7® Tool offers a host of specialized functions, including:


Top 10

The Top 10 function lists the 10 best-performing corn hybrids or soybean varieties for a field based on soil type in a selected location, helping your agronomist identify the best genetic choices for each field


CHT Tool

The CHT Tool (Corn Characterization Charts) uses data from the Answer Plot® Program to compare CROPLAN® seed products as well as seed from other major companies to see how they are projected to perform on fields just like yours. Categories for comparison include soil type, crop rotation activity, plant population and management practices, to allow you to control—and capitalize on—variability in your fields


Profitability Map

The R7® Tool Profitability Map connects input costs and yield potential map data to determine ROI. Less-profitable areas provide an opportunity to better align input investments with yield potential the following year. In-season Imagery

In-season imagrey helps agronomists identify problem areas in a field as the season progresses so they can help you take corrective measures before yield potential is jeopardized.


Field Response Map

The Field Response Map compares yield data to satellite imagery to indicate crop response to the prescription for that field. This provides a way to validate what worked well and what could be improved for future plans.
