October 25th, 2018 Zach Harry Grain Marketing Specialist Corn- Down 2 In most places right now, corn harvest is in full swing and many places right now are seeing farmers sell some corn off the combine to make up for the lack of soybean sales. December 2018 corn remains between the 100 day MA of $3.69 ¾ and the 50 day MA of $3.64 ½. Ethanol margins are reported to remain at the lowest levels in years. Export sales were dismal again this morning..... Soybeans- Down 2-3 On the overnight beans are trading between two to three cents down in nearby and further out trading months. China still continues to battle the African swine fever, which in turn will take a hit to soymeal and feed demand. The earlier U.S. fears of soybean damage have calmed down and now seem to be just light and scattered throughout the country. Soybean spreads are firm overnight ahead of next week’s delivery, and farmer pricing of fresh bushels is very light. Wheat- Down 2-3 Spring wheat drops a few ticks on the overnight, trading down two to three cents. Right now, the U.S. has too much wheat and not enough demand. Continuation of the poor technical performance as KWZ takes out the July low and now sets the downward sights on the 2018 low of $4.87 ¾ om Jan 16
