Herreid mill adds turkey feed to its portfolio

Since February 2020, the feed mill at the Agtegra Herreid location has served the ruminant nutrition needs of area livestock producers. But now, the mill will add a two-legged animal diet to its portfolio – turkeys.

Glen Crawford farms with his wife, Heidi; son, Garrett; daughter, Claire; mother, Marie; brother, Todd; and Todd’s wife, Lana; and brother, Leon.  Together they grow corn and soybeans, operate a machine shop, welding repair business and truck dealership.  Glen and Heidi also own Brown County Choppers, LLC, a tree belt clearing and land reclamation operation outside of Aberdeen.

Director Spotlight: Heather Beaner

Heather Beaner operates Wal-Di Inc., a family farm growing corn and soybeans south of Mellette in Spink County. The operation practices no-till and precision planting across all acres. A 1998 graduate of the University of South Dakota School of Law, Heather spent 12 years on active duty in the U.S. Air Force as a JAG officer attorney where she specialized as a trial attorney.  She also worked at the Air Force Drug Testing Laboratory specializing in urinalysis drug testing, before coming home to farm with her father, Wayne Larson, in 2011.

Agtegra Aerial Takes Flight

Agtegra Cooperative has recently expanded its aerial operations division by adding a pilot to the Aberdeen area. Agtegra pilot Jason Vercruysse will serve as an onsite resource for Agtegra’s sales team and patrons.
