Agtegra Cooperative Announces Donations to North Dakota and South Dakota Area 4-H and FFA Programs

Mar 03, 2021

Agtegra Cooperative is committing nearly $66,000 to county 4-H and high school FFA chapters throughout its trade area in the Dakotas and to the South Dakota and North Dakota statewide FFA Foundation Star Partner programs. The commitment consists of nearly $33,000 now and nearly $33,000 that will come from matching funds from Land O’Lakes Foundation.

“Cooperatives like Agtegra are unique,” said Chris Pearson. “Very few agriculture industry organizations commit to supporting local communities the way cooperatives do. We support them because that is where our owners and their families live and work each day. This commitment is one of the characteristics that distinguishes us in our industry and one that we all take pride in being a part of.  We are also very grateful for Land O’Lakes commitment to our communities with their matching funds”

Pearson said the donations are used in a variety of ways, as directed by the advisors of the individual chapters to develop learning experiences offered to their student members.

“We are proud to support our 4-H and FFA programs because of their commitment to developing young leaders who are solidly committed to the future of agriculture,” Pearson added. “This will be the generation carrying on the leadership of the agricultural industry into the future.”
