DICAMBA UPDATE

Jun 05, 2020

What we know about the status of dicamba:

We are aware that there is currently a great deal of misinformation being spread by retailers and service providers about XtendiMax, Engenia and FeXapan. We want to help set the record straight for our farmers.

• As of June 3, XtendiMax, Engenia and FeXapan are no longer approved EPA registered products. The court ruling revoking these three product registrations was immediate.
• There is NO 14 day grace period to sell these three products.
• It is illegal under federal law to sell or distribute unregistered herbicides.
• It is illegal to use a herbicide product inconsistent with its label.

This is why Agtegra is not able to sell or distribute XtendiMax, Engenia and FeXapan at this time. Agtegra has other dicamba products available for your use and application. We are waiting for direction from the EPA and also encouraging them to appeal this court ruling and request a stay as soon as possible. We will inform you immediately as new information is made available.

Continue to work with your Agtegra Agronomist as your trusted source of information.

Rick Osterday, along with his wife Sandy and their two sons and daughters-in-law, Blane and Liz and Clay and Erin, are the fourth and fifth generations to operate their family farm near Java, South Dakota. They raise corn, soybeans, spring wheat and hay, as well as run a registered and commercial cow herd and background feeders.

Being able to do something every day that he is passionate about and doing it with his two sons is what Osterday finds very rewarding and what he loves most about agriculture.

“You always learn new things daily. Recently, it was how to remove a rotor gear box on a combine,” says Osterday.
