Agtegra Gives Back to 75 ND and SD Rural and Volunteer Fire Departments

Mar 22, 2023

To promote health and safety in its local communities, Agtegra Cooperative has donated monetary resources to 75 rural and volunteer fire departments across its trade territory this year.

“Safety is a core value at Agtegra, and it is part of everything we do, including in how we support our communities,” said Agtegra CEO Jason Klootwyk.

Local fire departments fill the necessity of having emergency services available in rural communities. Without these organizations, it could take several minutes for the nearest emergency team to arrive.

“Our local fire departments and emergency service teams are critical to the communities they serve, and we are incredibly grateful for what they do to keep our member-owners, employees and their families safe,” said Klootwyk.

Due to a matching funds program with the Land O’Lakes Foundation, Agtegra has doubled its donations to these organizations. These funds enable the departments to fulfill the need for training and equipment resources for their teams.

Agtegra also continues to support health and safety in its communities through Dakota Responders, a training program started last year to equip Agtegra employees with basic emergency care. Made possible through a partnership with healthcare organizations, the program will continue to train Agtegra employees in 2023.
