FARMERS UNION OIL COMPANY MERGES WITH AGTEGRA

Nov 01, 2019

Effective November 1, 2019, Farmers Union Oil Company of Reliance, Presho and Draper, South Dakota merged with Agtegra Cooperative.  This merge is the result of a favorable vote by Farmers Union’s members in late September.

“We are very excited to serve the communities previously served by Farmers Union Oil.  This merger is a continuation of Agtegra’s investments and commitment to serve our customers in this area” said Chris Pearson, Agtegra CEO.

As a cooperative, Agtegra is committed to making long-term business decisions that are in the best interest of its membership.  As potential changes for certain parts of these businesses are considered, Agtegra strives to preserve services in communities where we can, while adding to services where there are opportunities.

Agtegra COO, John Husk, comments “We have spent the last several weeks visiting with employees, walking through locations, evaluating safety practices, operational opportunities, and financials.”   As a result, Murdo will become a 24-hour cardtrol fuel location.  The equipment and team at the Reliance truck and auto location will move to Presho after November 15th.  The Reliance cardtrol will remain in operation.

Going forward, please use the following phone numbers:

  • To order fuel or propane in the Reliance, Murdo, Draper or Presho areas, or for questions about fuel cards please call the Agtegra Chamberlain Location at: (605) 234-4230

  • To reach the Presho Truck & Auto Center, please call (605) 895-2682

Agtegra looks forward to building on our abilities to service customers with propane, bulk fuel, gas, and oil, in addition to meeting truck and auto needs in this area.
